Quick Start
This guide will show you how to use Kythia Convert effectively.
1. Initial Setup
Section titled “1. Initial Setup”After installing Kythia Convert, launch it from the Start Menu at least once. This crucial first step registers the application with Windows and enables the Context Menu integration.
Once opened, you can close the window. You never have to open the main app again unless you want to change its settings!
2. Converting a File
Section titled “2. Converting a File”Kythia Convert operates entirely headlessly through Windows File Explorer.
- Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to an image, video, or audio file.
- Select one or more files.
- Right-click on the selected files.
- Hover over Kythia Convert (or click “Show more options” first if you are on Windows 11).
- Select your desired output format from the sub-menu (e.g.,
Convert to WebP).
3. The Process
Section titled “3. The Process”Kythia Convert will instantly spawn a background worker to process your files.
- You will receive a Windows Notification alerting you if the conversion fails.
- Once the conversion is fully complete, Windows Explorer will automatically highlight your newly created files right before your eyes!
4. Batch Processing
Section titled “4. Batch Processing”Kythia Convert is explicitly designed for massive batch operations.
Want to convert an entire folder of 100 images? Simply select all 100 files, right-click, and convert. Kythia Convert’s engine will distribute the 100 files across all available CPU threads, finishing the task in a fraction of the time a normal converter would take.
